Highly Suggestible Vacation

Good Afternoon Ladies & Gentlemen,

First off, I had a meeting with the bosses yesterday…and it has been "highly suggested" that we take some time off during the Holiday Season…which honestly I don't have a problem with…except I'm still trying to pay off moving expenses…but I'll cope. I've already put in to take some time off while my mom's in town next week (Black Friday specifically), a few days around Christmas so that I can travel home to Slick City, and for a few days around New Year's Eve…so I'm thinking that I may be heading to Vegas to bring in the New Year, which is awesome. Over the years, I've spent most of my New Year's Eves in Utah doing…well, pretty much just drinking and hanging with friends. Some memorable ones include running around in my underwear with my friends in junior high banging pots & pans (not drunk…but it would've helped, there was about a foot of snow on the ground), bringing in the new millennium at First Night in Ogden, then there was a string of 5-6 where I was working until the stroke of midnight, then there was a work trip to New York City on New Year's Day (working the night before), a party that I threw and the only people that showed up where my girlfriend, my buddy Isaihia, and my buddy Justin (the buddies left shortly after, great way to ring in the New Year with just the two of us), and a week long trip to Boston with JW two years ago ending with watching the fireworks go off on Boston Harbor from a party boat. Last year, I worked late with Heater (miss you) then hung out at JL Clyde's party…but I've never really been in the middle of a wild and crazy place like Vegas for New Year's Eve…so it should be an experience. Besides, Bubbles will be there…and possibly the Wingmans if I can convince them to come (shouldn't be too difficult). Taking lemons and making lemonade. It's what I'm good at.

Last night was a bit of a workout. I helped a few other departments at the company, so I was running around all day and worked a little late to help out. Then I mad dashed over to Forza to officially sign up and still make the Ski Conditioning class that I had been told about. Well, I showed up about five minutes late to the class…and was still only able to make it about halfway through it. I kept pushing and pushing…and my legs kept burning and burning…and after about a half-hour, my left knee felt like it was going to burst, so I decided to call it off and do some upper body work instead…then called it a day after about 15 minutes of that. Then I spent the rest of the night listening to Richard Cheese, watching a little college basketball, checking myself out in the mirror (Nice!), fixed up a sam'ich, then even did some Pilates exercises before heading off to bed. Oh…and just a few predictions with regards to college basketball based on what I've seen the first few days (because I know you don't care). North Carolina's going to win the championship…and Blake Griffin of Oklahoma is going to win Player of the Year…and then be the Number One pick in the NBA Draft in June. Go ahead and place your bets in Vegas. I plan on doing it when I go for New Year's (allegedly). Here's some news…

Bush & Sexy Mrs. Dash - Celebrity / sextape actress Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Reggie Bush may not be engaged or anything just yet…but the media's already trying to pitch a newlywed show similar to the one that Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey had years ago ("Is tuna chicken or fish?") and as I recall, it didn't turn out so well for Jess & Nick. "We get asked that all the time!" Kim told Hollywood Party Girl at the Fontainebleau Hotel's grand reopening last weekend. "We're definitely heading in that direction, so you never know." She says the catch would be convincing her football player boyfriend Reggie to sign on. "He's extremely shy. He's a very private person, and he's really focused on football (and commercials)." Sounds like Kim's not ruling anything out. "I never wanna say never!" So I've heard…and seen on brief previews online…she's down for anything. I think it'd good for both of them to keep in the spotlight…because honestly, they're both kind of fading away. Kim got kicked off Dancing with the Stars (much to my chagrin) and I can't believe that anybody actually watches "Keepin' Up with the Kardashians" and Reggie's not nearly as good as he was hyped up to be. He's a mediocre player…and like most football players, is just a low awkward hit away from hobbling for the rest of their life. My suggestions though, is just that you two lovebirds do what's best for you. Enjoy being with each other without having the cameras around…or turn a profit by selling some of those videos online with an 18+ restriction. You two may spend the rest of your lives together (yes, I still believe that's what marriage is about) so don't just leap in because you want another reality show. That being said, check out my new show on VH1 starting in April where I look for Love posing as the Governor of Wyoming in "First Lady" rated TV-M for adult language and Jell-O wrestling.

Spitzer Callgirl on Prime Time - The prostitute at the center of the salacious scandal that brought down former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer (remember?) and generated national headlines is going to dish on her life as a pricey escort. ABC says Ashley Alexandra Dupre sat down with Diane Sawyer on the program "20/20." Dupre reveals how an "upper middle-class, girl next door got into the profession and the psychological journey she continues to experience." (I'm guessing money was involved) Spitzer resigned March 12 after it was disclosed he had used Emperors Club VIP, the escort service that Dupre worked for. On Thursday, federal prosecutors said they wouldn't bring criminal charges against Spitzer, marking the end of the saga…but the start of the sweeps week possibilities. Four people pleaded guilty to running the prostitution operation. The show will air Friday at 10 p.m. so set your TiVo's (or Joaquin if that's what you call him). Am I really interested in what she has to say? No, not really. I'm sure that I've heard it all before on late night expose shows. Am I going to watch? If I remember and have nothing better to do maybe. I might get a wild bug and want to hear what it's like being a real life top dollar whore…but honestly, what good will come of it? Will it be a warning to a younger generation? Of course not. It'll probably just tell them how much money they can make when all they're willing to sell is their dignity (market value has fallen during these tough economic times). Will it make it sound glamorous to certain people? Of course. I mean…she got to sleep with a Governor…and probably an actor or two…maybe even a known one. How many people can say that? Silly me and my Puritan beliefs (said with a slight chuckle and the thought of watching Mr & Mrs Smith yet again on FX last night) but I really don't care what she has to say one way or the other. However, I may watch because…have you seen Diane Sawyer recently? Rrrrrrrrrrr…

Well, that'll do it for today. Not much else going on in the world that I want to comment on. I guess the college football game of the year is coming up on Saturday - The Holy Bowl as some people call it - BYU @ Utah. WHEN Utah wins, they're going to a BCS Bowl again…and BYU can always enjoy the Las Vegas Bowl. Gee, I might be able to see the Vegas Bowl if they play a good team…but then again, maybe I'll pass. Good luck to the U as they look to become the nation's elite college football programs. Also, I'm open to suggestions on when and where to spend my free time coming up if anybody's interested. That also means that if you come to Denver, I'll have more time to hang with ya. Just a suggestion…and so is, have a great day everybody!!!
